Dr. Ganga Pathak
Clinical & Counseling Psychologist
Dr. Ganga Pathak is a highly respected Clinical and Counseling Psychologist with decades of academic, clinical, and professional experience in the field of psychology. She has devoted her life to advancing mental health awareness, psychological counseling, and professional training, making significant contributions to both education and clinical practice. Dr. Pathak holds a Ph.D. in Academic Counseling and is widely recognized for her expertise, leadership, and commitment to ethical and evidence-based psychological care.
With a strong foundation in clinical psychology and counseling, Dr. Pathak specializes in psychological counseling, clinical assessment, and mental health training. Her work focuses on
supporting individuals, families, and communities through effective therapeutic interventions and capacity-building initiatives. Dr. Pathak has been serving as a Professor at Trichandra College since 1983, contributing extensively to the academic development of psychology students. Since 1996, she has also been working as the Chief Psychologist at the National Institute of Psycho-Educational Counseling, where she leads clinical services and professional guidance. In addition, she has been a Guest Lecturer at Golden Gate International College and International School since 2011, sharing her expertise with future professionals.
Beyond her academic and clinical roles, Dr. Pathak has actively contributed to social and community development. She has been an Advisor to Rakshya Nepal for school bullying awareness since 2006 and a Member of the Human Rights and Peace Society Nepal since 2010. Her previous professional engagements include working as a Member at the Centre for Education, Research and Development (2002–2003) and as a Member of the Education For All (EFA) Thematic Group (2002–2008).
Through her extensive experience, compassionate approach, and dedication to mental wellbeing, Dr. Ganga Pathak continues to play a pivotal role in shaping psychological services, education, and advocacy in Nepal.
